Infliction Upon Our Edifice

I’m ordinarily quite comfortable cascading my thoughts of a year gone by. Inking observations as random as cans of food in a soup kitchen. Indeed I’m customarily forthright with ponderings of penetrating and pathetic events, weird and wonderful moments. But for reasons unknown, this chilled December day I’m stymied and entirely void of fluent and fortified thoughts to splatter on this page. Well documented are the high-ceilinged stories and the contentious issues that crammed the newsrooms and blogs. We became, quite frankly, over-saturated in instantaneous, inebriating injections of...

Match Dot Come On… Really?

The online world of personal connections is new terrain for me. With my interest piqued, I wandered into it. And since wandered back out. While the experience had me conclude that I’m not of the right mindset and motivation to pursue Internet dating further, I did find the exposure to it to be fascinating and highly revealing… about myself and others. The Moment is Now

There are unexpected forces that speak to us, letting us know ‘the moment is now’. It’s hard to explain this particular energy and the defined insight it imparts to us. Mysterious as it may be, it is abundantly clear that all possibilities have aligned to the reasoned conclusion. The moment is now. I can no longer rationalize the interference, nor explain away the often unconventional rearrangements of my life. There is no financial blame or bruised heart cop-out. I cannot impugn a lover or point a finger at my childhood. No charges can be leveled at a boss, and I’m unable to condemn a...

Peace Takes Present Form

It is in the simplicity of fate that I challenge the origin. Nothing can be so plain, as to not hold somewhere in its layers… colors of contrast. What may be visible to my naked and blinking brown eyes is blinding me of my opportunities to comprehend, with fortitude and faith, the reasoning of this life. In case and in light, the truths are slow to be discovered, I shall reveal all that I’ve come to know is genuine…. That life’s journey is a process ever-evolving. Physical beauty is merely imagery enhanced. The value of trust can never be bargained. Appreciation lies, peacefully, with...

Lifetime Warranty

I have come to the conclusion that every “thing” is made to break soon after acquiring it.  More precisely, soon after buying it.  Once monetarily committed, we naively think that we are now in possession of the ‘thing’, in good working condition, for years to come.  What a rude awakening to have it abruptly break down some time before your next oil change is due. Take my cell phone, as an example.  I won’t name the major, national company which sold me the self-destructive piece of crap (think track runner), but its safe to say upper management figured out exactly how to keep raking in...
